Events
The Supporters’ Association holds a number of events over the course of the year. Most provide a good opportunity for supporters to get together, have a chin-wag about the Jags, and raise money for the Trust coffers. Below is a list of some of the events we have lined-up for this year.
Thistle Themed St Andrew’s Night – 26th November 2010
Tickets: £7.50 (available at Trust kiosk in North End of Jackie Husband Stand)
Doors Open: 7:30pm (Aitken Suite, Firhill)
A new event on the Trust Calendar. Celebrate Scotland’s national day with a unique Thistle touch. Some of the Jags’ classic moments as captured on film and a fish supper for everyone to tuck into. Come along and join in the fun.
Meet the Manager – January 2011
An incentive for you to join the Trust – this scheduled Meet the Manager event will be for Jags Trust members exclusively. Come along and say your tuppenceworth as the manager looks back on the first half of the season and makes his plans before the transfer window closes. Exact date to follow.
Race Night – February 2011
A common Trust fixture, last year’s Race Night pulled in the best return on the fundraising front, generating nearly £1000 profit. Opportunities for Race and Horse sponsorship, as well as having a cheeky punt on the night makes for an entertaining evening. More bums on seats at this season’s event should make for an even more successful night.
Player of the Year Dance – April/May 2011
The end of season presentations and disco can feel incredible when ending on a high, and interesting for different reasons when the situation on the park is less than sunny! Take this opportunity to have a drink or two with fans, players and coaching staff alike, and see who has the best “moves” on the dance-floor!
Pub Quiz – TBA
Last season saw a very successful Thistle related pub-quiz at the Brass Monkey Pub, owned by Jags fan and general good guy Russell Buchanan. Put your Thistle wit against the infamous History book, and sort the Thistle die-hard stattos from the part-time fair-weather ones among us!
